#802 Quaid, Male, 1 Year Old

Hello! My name is Quaid, I am thought to be about a year old. Many think I may be a border collie / heeler cross, because of my large perky ears and short tail. I came to the shelter as an owner surrendered with my buddy Wyatt. I am quite attached to him but since my foster parents have other friends to play with, it’s not so bad. I do love the company though and would love it if you had another dog to play with! Either way, we are unsure why our original family gave us up, but we didn’t really take to the shelter setting and decided to jail break it together! We jumped their fence and found our way back home only to be returned to that dreadful place AGAIN. Low and behold there had been discussion about us being rescued, That’s where Border Collie Rescue and Rehab came through for us and we were blessed with our foster parents!

My foster parents have done a great job getting me acclimated to their home and cats. I am curious about those fuzzies, but once they start making noises, I tend to avoid them at all costs. Strange critters.  I have learned a few key terms in my time with my family, like Sit and Off. We are working on “Down” but its hard to concentrate on new tasks with all my friends around. I do catch on really quick though, and I don’t want to  brag, but I am pretty smart! I’d be a great addition to a family who is willing to take me to some classes to hone my skills. Because of my weight and demeanor, I may be okay in a home with younger children. Especially if those children also love playing in the sprinkler. Did I mention I LOVE playing in the water?

I am a slow eater, love me a good toy to pick at, and will sleep on my back comfortably. I am also down for chilling on the couch with you to watch some shows. If you have any questions, please feel free to ping the rescue or my fosters!
