#582 Poppy, Female, Under Six Months
Meet Poppy, our playful, precarious and very pretty-puppy. Her estimated date of birth is 9-20-18 and currently weighs 15 pounds (as of late January). We believe she is a BC-blend with a slightly longer back and stockier legs than you’d expect on a BC puppy. She loves people, other pets and her toys. She enjoys a good tug session, running after a ball and treats—all things that will make training easier. She is a confident puppy and enjoys exploring new things. She sleeps through night, is doing well on potty training, and her foster mom has started working with her on sit, down, and come. She is fostered in Tulsa, OK.
Poppy’s history: She was found alone on a dark, country road in NE Oklahoma by a good Samaritan. While in their care, Poppy was kept warm, fed, vetted and even got to star in her first promotional video. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=4E9XGQPMSUA (Updated to now show BCRR contact info.)
Poppy’s ideal forever home would have:
◦ Adult(s) willing and able to devote significant time training Poppy with positive reinforcements and who will give her appropriate outlets for her energy
◦ Another medium to large size dog that tolerates rough play from a puppy, but who will also give Poppy appropriate corrections
(Since she is a puppy, preference will go to applicants with an adult home during the day or who has a flexible work schedule). Check back for updates and additional pictures/videos.
