#637 Lyla, Female, Under Six Months

Hey! Hey you! Now that I’ve got your attention, I’d like to introduce myself!

My name is Lyla! And I know what you’re thinking, I’m the cutest little thing you’ll ever see. I was born around March 2019 making me less than six months old! My start to life wasn’t the best, I was on my own for awhile before I was hit by a car and left behind for a couple weeks before a Good Samaritan found me and dropped me off at DAS. My foster mom saw me posted as a dog in need and fell in love. She rushed to DAS on that same Sunday afternoon to scoop me up.

Since then I’ve had a couple of surgeries to correct the damage which included a broken knee and leg bone that required a couple screws and a bone fusion. I’m now on the road to recovery and have become a totally normal puppy who is bouncing off the walls and learning to use the leg to jump on the bed with mom and dad! I will need a home with at least 1 more dog, someone to teach me the ropes and play with because I have so much energy! I’m nearly house trained, I sit by the door when I need to go outside but I’ll also eat anything and everything, so watch out for your socks! I’m also crate trained as I was on crate rest for a long time. I’m just full of puppy play and I’m super inquisitive! A home who can give me attention, training and love is all I need.

I will need help making sure I continue to use my leg and keep up with the physical therapy routine like going for walks on an incline and stretching out my leg. All regular activities!
