Sadie is a typical border collie, loves to work all the time. (Some people have said she is a purebred border collie). she is around 40 lbs. She has lots of natural instinct and has been around horses, mules and a few cows. She does head and heel. She has had no formal training and to be the best she can be she would need formal training for herding. She would also make a terrific agility , trick or fly ball dog. She loves to fetch, but has never had work with a frisbee. She can jump very high so with a little training she would make a great frisbee player.
She is very smart and picks up things quickly. Obedience might be a little boring for her. She loves to be in the house, but does not live in the house. She is crate trained and loves to ride and is always ready for a trip.
She is a happy dog and loves everyone (has not been around children) and is afraid of the resident cat. She is generally good with other dogs but will do best as an ONLY dog, since she does not interact with other dogs very much. She is afraid of lighting, thunder, storms, (does not like to go out in the rain) guns, firecrackers and needs to be kept inside during these occasions. She was adopted through an animal shelter about 4 years ago and the owner cannot provide enough stimulus to keep her mind active. If you are looking for a high energy dog who loves to work and learn and you can train or have Sadie trained then you are the person Sadie is looking to spend the rest of her life with.
She is spayed, current on vaccines, heartworm negative and microchipped and ready to jump in your arms and give you kisses.
