Colt, Four Year Old, Male

Colt was an owner surrender out of the Waco area due to a life change that left him locked inside a home for most of the day. He is a 4 year old, short haired smooth coat, neutered, HW-, and house trained. He is a medium to high energy dog with a sweet personality and disposition who wants to please his people. In his previous life, he lived with five young children, including a toddler, and had no issues any of the children. He has done well in a foster home with other dogs, though he does get overwhelmed when around a lot of dogs at once. He has some prey drive and will chase cats, chickens, and squirrels, and can be talkative at times. Colt is learning the kennel and leash, and is definitely food-motivated, but doesn’t seem to have any toy or ball drive. While he is medium to high energy, he does have an off switch and will sit at your feet or watch TV with you (he will literally watch TV – one of his quirks).

Colt would be best in a house where he is the only dog or one of just a few dogs. He would make an AWESOME family dog, especially if the family is looking for an active dog to walk, run, and play with. He
