Hi everyone! My name is Macy & I am a 6 year-old full-bred female Border Collie! I live just outside of Austin, TX. I am Heartworm negative, spayed, and have been fully vetted!My absolute favorite thing to do is play with toys that have squeakers—if only the squeak lasted longer! I also love playing fetch with my rubber ball. After you throw it for me, I will bring the ball right back to you and nudge it towards you with my nose! When we’re inside and I want to play, I like to stare at you and make quiet whines—just loud enough for you to hear—to let you know I’m ready to go!

When I’m not playing, I love to be around you every second of the day! If you get up and go to the other room, I’ll follow you and lay down to keep you company. I’m fully potty-trained, leash-trained, and crate-trained. I love to learn—so far, I know “sit”, “shake”, “crate”, “off”, and “down”. If you have other tricks for me to learn, I would love that!

I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but if you start playing fetch with me, I open up pretty quickly! I’m not a fan of young children—they can be kind of scary! My foster parents think I would do best in a home with older, teenage children or adults who respect my space. Because I like playing fetch with my ball so much, I also need a home with a large yard to run around in!

I live with my dog foster brother, who is a 40 lb Border Collie mix. While we don’t play together, we do enjoy each other’s company on the couch. I’ve been around cats & I have to say, they’re kind of boring! I tend to ignore them and do my own thing.

I have a mild skin allergy that my foster parents are working on! I started allergy shots on December 18th, and between those, my new food, and medicated baths, I am so much more comfortable! I love being brushed and will flop over on the ground so you can reach my tummy better.
