#557 Cody, Male, Three Years Old

I came to rescue from a shelter. I was an owner surrender. I had fleas, intestinal parasites, underweight and heartworms. The fleas and parasites are history and I am starting to put some meat on my bones. I’ve begun heartworm treatment, and will be available for adoption once I’m HW free. I am already feeling so much better! I am super smart but my foster mom thinks I was a backyard dog without much socialization, I am learning how to be confident in new surroundings. I am working on sit and stay, which I did really well at Home Depot. My foster mom has also taken me to Tractor Supply and Pet Smart. I walk well on a leash and I love to snuggle. I am completely potty trained. I am good with other dogs, but I like people better. I’m not really sure how to play with other dogs. But I do know how to fetch a ball. I have a high chase drive and want to chase cats, birds and squirrels. So my foster mom does not trust me off leash around cats and chickens. This gorgeous guy deserves a home where he can relax in the knowledge that his prior life of neglect is now in his rear view window.
