Doc Holliday

#501 Doc Holliday, Male, One Year Old

Hi! My name is Doc Holliday! Nope I’m not a smooth coat… I really am a rough coat, but someone gave me a shave, and in spots got a bit close, so I have some hot spots that are healing. Foster Mom has this wonderful soothing spray that I like.

I am a happy boy, tall boy, about 40-45 pounds. I’m fun loving with lots of energy and love to give someone. I will chase squirrels, or cats or possums or…. (runs away)

I am one year old at the end of May 2018, and still have a lot of pup left. I came with some tricks up my sleeve! I have a sit, down, shake, load (into car or crate), house trained and will ring a bell to go out, Turn (around), Up-Up (on his back feet), go outside and Go night-night to load up in my kennel to sleep.

I am a strong boy, and we are working on walking in a harness. Even though I haven’t learned to play games much with people, I do get along with adults, children and other dogs and am very social. I do like toys, especially ones that squeak and will play by myself. I will bark if I get excited and can’t join the fun. My Foster Mom (FM) is working on “Quiet” and I do take to clicker training. My FM says I am a chewer when bored, and will find something inappropriate to chew on if I don’t see an acceptable dog toy or chew. To keep me out of trouble, a big crate with an antler or filled kong toy or other interactive toy amuses me just fine when FM can’t watch me.

I love to sit on your lap if you are watching TV. If you are looking for a young dog with a lot of potential to tap and a hunk ‘o love, I’m your boy. I think the idea of dog sports would be fun, or a very active family that would take me for walks or hikes and teach me to fetch. Remember, I’m Doc Holliday, Doc for short.
