#349 Cutter, Male, Eight Months Old, Special Needs: DEAF, CCD
Meet Cutter – he is an 8 month old beautiful purebred border collie. He is deaf, has CCD (Canine Compulsive Disorder) and weighs 32lbs. Cutter loves people, his foster dog siblings and all the toys he can find in the doggie toy box. Cutter also loves being goofy, belly rubs, and cuddling with his people weather it’s on the floor, couch or bed. His is a such wonderful sweet boy that loves everyone and is great with cats too.
Cutter is smart, crate trained, potty trained, knows “sit”, “down”, “come”, “kennel” and “touch’ with all hand signals. His foster parents got him a Vibration only collar since he is deaf. This collar only vibrates (no shocks) to teach him a recall and to get his attention. He is responding very well to this and now working on it with some distance and distractions.
A perfect home for Cutter would be one that: has experience with border collies and training, have a fenced in back yard, have a 2nd dog in the home that will love to play with Cutter, willing to give him the dedication and love for a lifetime and a lot of daily routine.
Cutter is fully vaccinated, negative heartworm/tick fever test, microchipped, wormed, current on heartgard and nexgard (flea/tick prevention) and neutering is in his near future before adoption.
